• Request to Return to С³óߣ

    If a student does not complete the high school program at an adult studies program or charter school, the student may re-enroll in the Duval County Public Schools. The student shall be scheduled into the appropriate program of study. All evidence of credits and grades earned in these programs will be based on an official transcript.

    Students who enroll in Mycroschool, Biscayne, Lone Star or other Dropout Prevention Programs (DPP) must use the guidelines below for re-enrollment unless they are a student with a disability with an active IEP and have not yet turned 22, but cannot be served at one of the DPP schools. Exceptions may be considered due to extenuating circumstances.

    Students who are enrolled in Mycroschool, Biscayne, Lone Star or another DPP program and wish to be evaluated for re-enrollment into a Duval County Public School must:

    • Submit a letter to the Dropout Prevention Office describing the extenuating circumstances;
    • Have earned at least 2 credits per semester while enrolled at one of the DPP schools listed above;
    • Have the ability to graduate on-time with their 9th grade cohort;
    • Understand that consideration for re-enrollment into a С³óߣ comprehensive high school may only occur within the first ten school days of the semester. Once the ten-day window is closed, students may not return during that semester.
    • Understand that a committee will review each request and determine if re-enrollment will be granted;
    • Understand that this process will only be considered once per student.

    If a student withdraws from one of the DPP schools listed above as a result of school closure, the following options are available:

    • Students who have earned at least 2 credits during the last semester of enrollment at previous DPP school and can meet all graduation requirements on time may enroll in their attendance area school or apply to a school in which they are eligible through the Office of School Choice or the Office of Dropout Prevention.
    • Students who have not earned at least 2 credits during the last semester while enrolled at previous DPP school may apply to a school in which they are eligible for through the Office of School Choice or the Office of Dropout Prevention.
    • Students with a disability with an active IEP and have not yet turned 22, may enroll in their attendance area school if the school can meet the IEP or apply to a school which can meet the IEP through the Office of School Choice or the Office of Dropout Prevention.
