• NUTRITION SERVICE CENTER

Nutrition Service Center BuildingThe Nutrition Service Center (NSC) is a 69,000-square-foot central production and distribution facility serving the Duval County Public Schools Nutrition Program. The building was built by the school district with bond money for the sole purpose of supporting the nutrition program and the students within the district.

The NSC produces school menu items – including muffins, cupped fruit, breakfast sandwiches, yogurt parfaits and more – in a quality-controlled environment and then transports them to the schools daily.

We offer tours of the NSC at no cost to students, parents and faculty within the district to help educate the community on the importance of our nutrition program. This behind-the-scenes tour allows visitors to see how food is produced, packaged and delivered to schools across the district.
