Duval County Public Schools has partnered with local colleges, universities and the community to bring the BEACON program to all high school seniors for over 25 years.  BEACON - Bringing Economic and Career Opportunities Nearer - is a unique collaboration that assures that every high school senior knows how to apply for financial aid.  Through the use of trained volunteers who meet with small groups of students, this program levels the playing field by giving every senior valuable information on the FAFSA and state financial aid.
