Will the new school offer career programs?
Yes! The school is being constructed to support career programs in agriculture; transportation and logistics; information technology; and business, marketing, and entrepreneurship.
Will there be arts programs in the new school?
Absolutely! We believe art is education! While final offerings will be decided by the principal in concert with input from teachers and other constituents, the school is being constructed to support two-dimensional and three-dimensional visual arts and band and chorus programs. New schools are being built with attention to facility decisions that support creative thinking and strong arts experiences for students!
Speaking of the principal, who will be the principal of the school?
The first school principal for Chaffee Trail Middle has not been named yet, but stay tuned. That announcement will be made soon.
What will the school hours be?
Chaffee Trail Middle will follow the standard middle school hours. Currently, that is 9:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
