The five remaining semifinalists in consideration to become the next superintendent of Duval County Public Schools have submitted written and video recorded answers to several questions posed by school board members.

Core Strategies
The Department of Family and Community Engagement is designed to develop strong, innovative and collaborative partnerships. Key stakeholders engaged by this office include parent and family organizations, educators, nonprofits, businesses, faith-based entities, government agencies, institutes of higher education and civic groups.

Core Strategies include:

Capacity - Build the capacity to engage and work with the community, schools, and families through training, technical assistance, public awareness, and information management

Collaboration - Increase educational support through family engagement, partnerships, and volunteerism

Commitment - Expand revenue streams and resources supporting Duval County Public Schools,
supporting our schools through volunteerism, partnerships, special projects, and development.
