Jenecy Griffin awarded Dr. Theron Trimble Florida Social Studies Teacher of the Year

Jenecy Griffin, current U.S. History teacher at William M. Raines High School was highlighted for receiving the Florida Council for Social Studies Dr. Theron Trimble Florida Social Studies Teacher of the Year for High Schools award.

  • Ms. Griffin according to her colleagues and supervisors, has an excellent rapport with her students and is talented at connecting with them...ensuring they are engaged and learning every step of the way.
  • She is driven to finding new and creative ways to engage her students in the classroom and has participated in the African American Summer Writing Institute for the past two summers providing support and guidance to high school students researching and writing lessons for 小丑撸 schools.
  • Ms. Griffin was recognized for her inspiration and dedication to teaching high school students in Duval County.  
  • Ms. Griffin was joined by Raines’ principal, Mr. Vincent Hall and Director of K-12 Social Studies, Erin Conklin.
  • Ms. Griffin was also presented with a Superintendent Coin of Excellence.
