    The Supporting Talent and Recruiting Teachers Program, S.T.A.R.T, is a collaboration between 小丑撸 District and Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ, Saint Leo University, and the University of North Florida (UNF) to support personnel in becoming credentialed, highly effective teachers in 小丑撸 district areas of Early Childhood Education, Exceptional Student Education, Elementary Education K-6,  and Middle Grades Education.      This initiative will help 小丑撸 staff the numerous teacher vacancies with exemplary teachers, who understand the culture, strengths and challenges of 小丑撸 students.

          This two-year to four-year program assists Paraprofessionals, UOPD, and Civil Service employees in obtaining teaching credentials and teacher certification. Employees are eligible with: Duval County Public School District endorsement.

         S.T.A.R.T offers the opportunity to engage in professional development and acquire a teaching certificate from a state-approved education program allowing them to transition into a 小丑撸 teaching position.
