  • Erica Dobson is a proud native of Jacksonville and attended Jean Ribault Senior High School.  Erica earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Florida A&M University. Ms. Dobson later earned her master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Florida.  Erica began her teaching career at the middle school level as a Science and Reading teacher. She then transitioned over to elementary school, where she served as a math and science teacher. Her successful experience as an elementary teacher, led to her promotional opportunity to become an elementary Math and Science Coach, as well as an IB and Testing Coordinator. Ms. Dobson eventually became a Math Interventionist, working with students who needed individualized attention to become proficient in Mathematics.  She is currently serving as our Assistant Principal of Curriculum. Ms. Dobson has a passion for helping disadvantaged students and a long track record of success with students who are deficient in academic skills. That is why we are so grateful to have her instructional leadership, here at Charger Academy.
