    Dear Pickett Families,

    Welcome to the 2023 – 2024 school year. I hope you enjoyed your summer break, and you are ready to start the new school year! We are happy to welcome back our returning Pickett families and happy to have our new students. I am excited about the upcoming school year and eager to continue the work. Our teachers and staff are back and prepared to meet the needs of our students.

    We will continue to use school planners, the new school communication Bloomz App, the school’s website, and the school’s Facebook for communicating information to our families. At the beginning of each month, parents should also expect to see a monthly parent newsletter published on Bloomz and a copy coming home with students. The newsletter will include important dates of upcoming events at the school.

    Our school’s theme is “Level Up to Leadership and Learning.” We will incorporate leadership skills with our students as we engage them in learning in all content areas. We will continue to partner with our families and community to Level Up and guide our students to Academic Excellence.

    We welcome our families to be a part of this journey to academic excellence. Your parental involvement in your child’s education is a crucial tool necessary to chart the course to reach the targeted goal. We invite you to join our efforts as we provide the necessary steps to ensure students are on the right road necessary for student growth. I invite you to lend your talents, time, and your heart to the work we must accomplish this year. If we may assist you in any way, please give us a call or come by the school.
