LGE and YMCA Team Up in 2020-21!

The YMCA provides free Afterschool Programs and Summer Camps, staffed with statecertified teachers, throughout Duval County. With funding awarded by Kids Hope Alliance, the YMCA is partnering with Love Grove Elementary to empower K – 5th grade students with 21st Century Learning Skills and State-Aligned Curriculum in Reading and Math to increase student achievement and prevent learning loss during the summer. Additionally, the YMCA infuses enriched activities and exposures for a holistic approach – healthy spirit, mind, and body - for student success in school and life. Activities will include S.T.E.A.M, Fine Arts & Humanities, Youth Fit for Life (YFFL) and Healthy Living, Character Building and Leadership Development, Global Citizenship, College and Career Readiness plus so much more. Our Vision We believe that all kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve. That’s why, through the Y, more youth today are cultivating the values, skills and relationships that lead to positive behaviors, better health and educational achievement.
