• Dual Language

The Dual Language Program allows students, both native English and Spanish speakers, to go through the District curriculum in English and Spanish. The lessons are not translated. The students progress through the Curriculum Guides half of the day in English and the other in Spanish. This program allows for the students to become bilingual, biliterate, and bicultural by the time they graduate high school.  Students work torwards becoming bilingual in elementary school and ultimately graduating high school with a Seal of Biliteracy.  It is important to note that all students acquire a second language at varied rates.

We offer the program from Kindergarten through 5th grade.

Before being placed in the 2nd-5th grade program, the child will need to pass the Spanish proficiency exam.
