Safety Patrols is an organization at Greenland Pines Elementary that promotes leadership qualities by allowing 5th graders to participate in this national program. The duties of a Safety Patrol include serving an assigned morning and afternoon post where they assist in the safe and orderly process of arrival and dismissal of students. They also assist adults throughout the school and are responsible for the raising and lowering of the flag each day. Safety Patrols represent senior student leaders at GPE and are a huge help. Safety Patols must also maintain an "A-B" average academically and an "A" in conduct.
