The new Chaffee Trail Middle School will specialize in helping students in grades 6-8 prepare for the district’s robust college and career readiness programs in high school. Duval middle schools recognize that students in these grades are no longer elementary children, but not yet young adults. Middle school students are growing into their identities. They need a space of their own to explore who they are with opportunities to build a vision for their life. Through special programs such as the AVID college preparatory program and pre-early college classes, as well as a full athletic program, Chaffee Trail Middle will lead its students to a plan for their future and a path to success in high school, college, career and beyond.
