I am pleased to welcome you back this school year! I would like to extend a special welcome to all the new families joining Arlington Heights this year and welcome back to all of our returning families as well! I am honored to be returning as your principal. Our mission at Arlington Heights is to work together to allow our students to DREAM big, to CREATE ideas that will INSPIRE and PREPARE our students for success in college or a career and life. My vision, as the principal, is to ALWAYS put kids first! My belief is that all students can learn. It is my desire to keep the focus on increasing student achievement and doing whatever it takes to help ALL our students be successful and enjoy coming to school each day. I believe that learning should be fun and that an elementary school should pave the way for a lifetime of learning.

Student success is attributed to the partnerships and the relationships we build within our community, and this is MOST important now more than ever. It truly does take a village and at Arlington Heights we value teamwork and collaboration! Parents, throughout the year, exciting things are happening in our classrooms and on our campus! We encourage you to get involved by volunteering at school activities and taking an active role in your child's education. You are the best gift you can give your child. You are your child's most important teacher. Spend time with your child. The elementary years go quickly, but they are among the most important and fundamental years of your child’s life. Education is a joint venture and Team Arlington Heights greatly appreciates the support you provide for your children at home and at school to help them meet their learning goals.

We hope you will find that Arlington Heights Elementary School is truly a place where learning is joyful, and children delight in coming to school.

Please don't hesitate to let us know if we can be of any assistance. We are here to help you and, most importantly, to help your child be successful!

    Sincerely,

    Katrice Scott

    Principal
