I warmly welcome you to Merrill Road PreK-2 Elementary School, home of the Mustangs!

I am honored that you have chosen Merrill Road PreK-2 Elementary School for your child's growth and development. I am confident that you will quickly discover why Merrill Road Elementary is a "Good Place to Grow"!  The staff and I consider it a privilege to work with you and your children and we look forward to fostering a positive school and home relationship.  We place an emphasis on educationg the whole child. We focus on building the foundational skills that our students need to be acdemically and socially successful. We foster a collaborative and inclusive learning environment driven by standards based instruction and student achievment.
Community involvement is essential to the success for students at Merrill Road Elementary.  We welcome parent, high school, church, and community volunteers as key contributors supporting the learning of our students.  I personally invite everyone to be a part of our school community.  I hope that you will take advantage of the many opportunites that you will be invited to share with us.

The safety of our students and staff is our number one priority.  Before you can volunteer at our school, please complete the free background check at .  Once you have been approved to volunteer, you can contact your child's teacher or our office staff for ways to use your passions and talents to become part of our team!
Aside from making life-long memories by volunteering in our school, we also suggest that you read with your child each night.  Spending this time together has a huge positive impact on the lives of our children.  Structuring afternoons to have a set routine including daily communication with your child's teacher, as well as developing a dedicated homework time and location also leads to higher success for your child.  If you have questions, please ask.  We are here to help!
Once again, I welcome you and I look forward to working with you.  If you have ideas or suggestions, please feel free to contact me.  Let us be sure to keep the lines of communication open.  Together we will make a positive difference in the lives of our children!

    With children in mind,

    Natasha Clark, Principal
