    School Assignment
    All students are assigned a neighborhood school based on their home address. Determine your child(ren)’s zoned area school by entering your home address in the School Locator or by contacting the Pupil Assignment Office at 904-390-2144. To visit a school website, please choose a school through the "Select A School" button at the top right on every web page

    School Registration Requirements
    State law requires all children ages 6-16 to attend school. All registrants must provide valid documentation to include: proof of birth age, Florida certification of immunization or exemption, record of physical examination, and proof of residency. A kindergarten student must be five years old on or before September 1st. First grade students must have successfully completed kindergarten and be six years old on or before September 1st.     School Transfers & Choice/Magnet Applications
    Transfers and applying to other schools are based on a variety of factors including space availability, random selection, and adhering to the Choice and Magnet School application process.     Immunization Requirements
    All Duval County Public School students must meet the requirements for Florida certification of immunization, or possess certification of exemption for medical or religious reasons. Various vaccinations are required for specific grade levels. For a complete listing, click on immunizations, contact your child's school, physician or the Duval County Health Department's Immunization Center at 904-253-1420.


    Exceptional Education & Student Services
    The district provides educational opportunities to students who are physically handicapped, mentally handicapped, sensory impaired, emotionally disabled, as well as, gifted. Currently, Duval County serves nearly 24,000 exceptional students.
