•        The Abess Park News Network is the name of our closed circuit television studio. Every year, a crew of students is chosen from 4th and 5th grades to be a part of this very special student organization. These young people have the awesome responsibility of bringing the day's news to the school via closed circuit television every morning.
To be part of APNN, students must go through a process of filling out an application and having an interview on camera. They must also have a recommendation from their teacher as well as maintain an overall B average in academics and citizenship.
Each APNN team member is cross-trained to not only anchor the shows, but they learn to direct, operate cameras, and run the sound board, video mixers, and computer generated sound effects.
APNN is supervised by Ms. Castaneda and Mr. Copeland.
