Congratulations to Mrs. Marsh, JWJ's choice for the 2023-2024 Teacher of the Year!

All incoming students are introduced to JWJ through Mrs. Julie Marsh- to know her, is to love her. As the first, largest, and most prestigious academic middle school magnet program, James Weldon Johnson College Preparatory Middle School relies on Mrs. Marsh and the vast amount of work she does each year as the Magnet Lead Teacher. New magnet students benefit from Mrs. Marsh's guidance as the 6th Grade Boot Camp Coordinator, before they even step foot on campus for the first day of school.

A current 6th Grade Transition (Critical Thinking) teacher, Mrs. Marsh plays a huge role in the success of our new Trojans. Previously serving as a history teacher across all grades since January 2009, Mrs. Marsh understands the rigor and organization required for students to succeed and has made it her mission through this course to prepare students for the next 3 years and beyond. Mrs. Marsh has also facilitated student growth and experiences as the Cheerleading Coach, History Department Head, current Chess Club Sponsor and current SDM Co-Chairman.

An Athens, GA native, Mrs. Marsh loves spending time with her husband, playing with their 3 English pointers, and cheering on the Atlanta Braves.
