FSCJ Early College

  • The Early College Program provides students greater access to higher education and promotes student achievement at the high school and post-secondary levels. The Early College Program blends high school and college courses to enable students to earn a high school diploma and an Associate in Arts degree or an Associate in Science degree with minimal financial cost.

Early College participants apply and are accepted in Grade 8, begin the program in Grade 9. In Grades 9 and 10, participants are permitted to take a limited number of dual enrollment courses at the high school. These courses are taught by high school instructors and are available to students who meet continuation criteria. In Grades 11 and 12, Early College participants are enrolled full time at an assigned Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) campus. Students are able to participate in all clubs, sports, and activities on the high school campus.
