The staff at J. Allen Axson Montessori Elementary is committed to providing a safe, caring environment with diversified instruction that promotes success for all students. We provide an internationally recognized Montessori educational program for children from the age of three through fifth grade.

Each teacher is specially trained in the Montessori method in order to assist children in their development. In addition to achieving broad intellectual standards, the students of J. Allen Axson Montessori School are invited to pursue their own intellectual interests in-depth.

The special Montessori materials in each classroom allow children to learn on a physical level with Montessori manipulatives. The individual work plans each student receives allows them to work independently without a need for constant direction. Self-motivation and responsible independence are the cornerstones of the Montessori method.

Children in each classroom are of diverse ages to promote interest and caring among all students as well as to create a mentor/mentee relationship. The entire J. Allen Axson Montessori staff incorporates the principles of the Montessori method to develop all of the children’s talents.
