The search for the next superintendent of Duval County Public Schools is underway.

The School Board is expected to select a superintendent candidate out of the two finalists on May 23 with the official start date scheduled for July 1.

On Tuesday, May 7, the Duval County School Board selected Dr. Christopher Bernier and Dr. Daniel Smith as the finalists for the Superintendent position.

Each finalist was interviewed by the School Board and a Community Focus Group on May 13. The full interviews are below.
