      Report Sexual Harassment/Discrimination

      • You have a right to be safe at school and learn in an environment free from sexual discrimination and harassment.

These rights are rooted in Title IX.

Title IX is a federal civil rights law that makes sex-based discrimination and harassment illegal in schools. Under Title IX, mandated to respond to allegations of discrimination and harassment and investigate complaints in accordance with federal regulations.

Note - Sexual discrimination and harassment are also prohibited in School Board Policy. In part, our Anti-Discrimination policy states that "the Board will not tolerate sexual harassment, or any other form of illegal harassment by any of its employees, students, volunteers, or agents."

To report sexual discrimination and harassment:

        1. Complete the Title IX Complaint Form.
          • A complaint can also be made in person, by mail, by phone, or by email.

        2. Submit it to your school's Title IX Coordinator.
          • Each school has a Title IX Coordinator. This person is usually an Assistant Principal. If you do not know your school's Title IX coordinator, email the form to titleix@duvalschools.org

        3. The coordinator will begin a multistep Title IX process that involves a thorough investigation if it is determined that Title IX applies to the allegations.
