    1. Click on the below red Apply for Extended Day Button.

    2.  On the registration page, first create a parent profile.

    3. Then register each of your students.

Due to high website traffic during the opening of registration, you may experience an error message when trying to get to the registration page.  If you do experience this, please exit out of that page and try opening it again.  We will make every effort to accommodate your extended day needs for the 2023-2024 school year.  Families will be notified of their results by at least Friday, Aug. 4.

PLEASE NOTESubmission of an application does not guarantee enrollment in the Extended Day program.

Space in the after-school program is limited. Our program sites fill up quickly and usually generate a waiting list. The number of children enrolled at each site is determined by how much physical space is available and the number of staff employed. We encourage you to register as soon as possible. Registration is open to all students. Once a site is full your child will be placed on a wait list and included in a lottery for any spaces that become available.

    Program Mission

The mission of the Extended Day Program (EDP) is to support working parents by providing an affordable, safe, and nurturing extended day enrichment program designed to enhance students educationally, socially, culturally, emotionally, and physically.

    Program Overview

Duval County Public Schools’ Extended Day Enrichment Program provides before and/or after school childcare services at seventy-two elementary sites and eighteen secondary sites throughout Duval County. Approximately 10,000 students per day participate in this program. The morning programs generally begin at 7:00 a.m. until school starts and the afternoon programs open at school dismissal until 6:00 p.m. The program is available every day school is in session including Early release days. This is a flat rate, fee-based program.

    Objectives

Our program provides opportunities for children to develop socially, emotionally, and physically, within a warm and caring atmosphere. This is accomplished through our focus on leadership, academics, wellness, and S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math). The Extended Day program is a Before/After School Child Care Program for elementary through high school aged children. Supervision is provided at a ratio of 1 adult to 18 children at the Elementary level and a ratio of 1 adult to 24 for children at the Middle/High School levels.

    Program activities include:

    • Homework Help
    • Enrichment Clubs
    • Cultural Enrichment Experiences
    • Recreational Activities
    • Snack Time
