Duval County School Board Policy requires that each school develop and deliver a multilayered, accountable, and comprehensive guidance program in which equity, access, and academic success for all students is the focus.

The Duval County Comprehensive School Counseling Plan has been updated to comply with the state requirements and will help define and align the role of the school counselors with Florida’s School Counseling Framework; the Vision, Mission and Core Values of the Duval County School Board; and the District Strategic Plan.  

• believes in one vision and one voice and works to ensure it meets the needs of all professional school counselors, regardless of setting, experience level or needs.
• provides school counselors with state level resources including but not limited to the Florida Frameworks and standards, discounted or free professional development opportunities.  
• is a network of school counseling professionals from the First Coast.  FCCA is committed to providing networking and professional learning opportunities as well as support and advocacy for the profession.
