• Middle School Services

    Middle school counselors are master's level educators uniquely trained in child and adolescent development, learning strategies, self management and social skills. They implement a comprehensive school counseling program to support students through this important developmental period. This program teaches students the knowledge, attitudes and skills necessary for academic, career and social/emotional development. 

    The school counselor develops a comprehensive program based on the school counseling standards from the American School Counseling Association (ASCA) National Model with input from parents, faculty/staff and community stakeholders. The ASCA National Model provides a flexible framework middle school counselors use to develop a comprehensive program designed to meet students' unique needs.
