ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Mental Health Artwork
- Decorate the classroom door or bulletin board to encourage Mental Wellness. The artwork must prominently feature the theme: Behind the Mask to celebrate mental health and wellness.
- The entry must be produced by full-time Duval County Public Schools’ Elementary school students and their teacher.
- You may submit one entry per class or student.
- ALL classes submitting a photo of the classroom door or bulletin board must return a media release form for each person involved in creating the entry, signed by a parent or guardian. Please e-mail your signed media release along with the submission form (below) to mentalhealthpsa@duvalschools.org. Make sure that your contact name matches the name on your submission.
- School staff and faculty may provide guidance and suggestions but are encouraged not to lead in conceiving and producing the artwork.
- No use of copy written material is allowed. Violations will result in disqualification.
- The artwork must not contain material that is inappropriate, indecent, obscene, hateful, defamatory, slanderous, or libelous; nor contain material that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual; or promotes discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age. The poster must not contain material that is unlawful, in violation of or contrary to the laws of the state of Florida.
- The submission deadline is Tuesday, May 21, 2024, by 4:00 pm.
- Complete the form below along with the completed media release form. Attach both forms with the photo of the entry to mentalhealthpsa@duvalschools.org
- All entries become the property of С³óߣ. By submitting an entry, you grant to Duval County Public Schools a royalty free, irrevocable right to reproduce, publish, distribute, perform, display, create derivative works of the submission, or otherwise use the work for WIAA purposes, and authorize others to do so. The top entries, including student producer names, the title of their entries, and school names may be posted on our webpage. Submissions that follow contest rules will be judged by the С³óߣ SHAC School Behavioral Health Subcommittee.

Mental Health PSA Contest Guidelines
- The PSA contest submission must prominently feature the theme: Behind the Mask. [your title] as it encourages embracing one’s true self and utilizing coping strategies to improve one’s mental health.
- The song, chant, cheer, rap must be produced by full-time Duval County Public Schools’ high school students. If you and your friends – and teens throughout Florida and across the nation – could hear something that encourages embracing one’s true self and utilizing coping strategies to improve one’s mental health, what would that chant/cheer be? Grab your creative skills, recruit your friends, and create a 20-45 second video, song, chant, cheer, rap, podcast aimed to change lives!
- You may submit one entry per group of students (2 or more students).
- ALL students submitting an entry must return a media release form signed by a parent or guardian. Please e-mail your signed media release along with the submission form (below) to mentalhealthpsa@duvalschools.org. Make sure that your contact name matches the names on the credits of your submission.
- School staff and faculty may provide guidance and suggestions but are encouraged not to lead in conceiving and producing the video.
